MERRIDELL

Welsh Section A.

I married, had Twins, and in 1980 emigrated to Canada.

Sadly divorced, I returned to Britain in 1992, and began to put my life back together.

This was my chance to fulfil a life-long ambition of being a Pony-owner, and Epynt Spritz joined my family of show-dogs, Guinea-Pigs, et-al.

“Spritzie” competed in lead-Rein class and won several Mini-Championships, qualifying for the P.U.K. Winter championships that year. I loved riding him, but work pressures, and shortage of time to ride daily found Spritz in a new loving home.

When Niki began her new venture with the Section C ponies, I asked her if she could manage some in-hand SectionA ponies for me. This agreed, great plans were made to find my foundation stock.

I have long admired the “Tiffwyl” ponies, so a visit here was a must. I was in-love! The visit resulted in the purchase of the lovely Filly foals, Tiffwyl Charm, and Tiffwyl Tlws .

Next step was Fayre Oaks! I had done my homework and “ear-marked” a couple of Fillies/Mares that fitted the bill. I was all set!

The lovely Doddenhill Coral Chloe was at the top of the list.

As the time for the High Flyers approached my nerves were jangling! A huge crowd followed her from the stables. My heart sank, I thought  I had no chance in the bidding Into the sale-ring flew Chloe, the bidding started, and suddenly.....She was mine! I was so excited to have purchased such a dream filly. What a start for me.

Shortly after her arrival, Charm developed “shipping-Fever”.Without the prompt attention of Tracy, Niki and the Vet, she certainly would have died.

Now here she is as a beautiful yearling a credit to the attention of these two girls.xxx

Mispickel.

As my friends will tell you, I am never satisfied! So when Jean and Jim Higgins offered me CHURCHWOOD PEACHES I jumped at the chance to purchase this lovely mare. Sadly Peaches was not in foal, but she has been covered by Churchwood Trademark, so I am hoping for a foal from her in 2012.

Following Peaches were CRICCIETH DONNA and  DYFED ROSETTE. Donna has been covered byTIFFWYL MOUNTEN MODELfor 2012, and Rosette has produced the first MERRIDELL FOAL, namely MERRIDELL MINTED MODEL.  Exciting times ahead!

My life began in Newport, Gwent, and from the word go I was animal mad! My parents did not share my passion, and I remained petless. However, they did allow me to spend all my spare time at a small-holding in Rhiwderin, where I indulged my passion, riding the hills, and even hunting with the “Tredegar Farmers”

During the long school holidays I was packed off to a stud-farm in Bodmin, Cornwall. Here I learned the B.H.S.A.I. Curriculum, although I did not sit the exam, as “A” level intervened.
